C-Tran is asking Vancouver residents to help name its proposed bus rapid transit line on the city’s Fourth Plain corridor.

The agency announced four options as names for the enhanced bus system: “The Vine,” “The Voyage,” “VROOM” or “The Vibe.”

C-Tran will set up a walk-up kiosk with information about the project and a chance to comment on three days next week:

o 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Penguin Union Building at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

o 2 to 4 p.m. May 21 at the Westfield Vancouver mall transit platform, 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive.

o 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. May 22 at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St.

People also may weigh in at the C-Tran Citizens Advisory Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 29 at C-Tran’s administrative office, 2425 N.E. 65th Ave. or online at http://c-tran.com/brt.

Bus rapid transit uses larger vehicles, raised boarding platforms and other features. C-Tran has proposed a $53 million line between the mall and downtown Vancouver.
