PORTLAND — Hundreds of people attended the memorial Monday at Hillsboro Stadium for Mick, the Portland police dog killed in an April 16 shootout with a robbery suspect that wounded his handler, Officer Jeff Dorn.

KGW reports Dorn spoke at the memorial and thanked everyone for their support.

Dorn’s children said the 2-year-old German shepherd saved their dad’s life.
