As the weather warms, more recreational boaters are expected to head out to local waterways. The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is offering complimentary marine safety inspections for boat and personal watercraft owners from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7.

Inspections will take place at the Willow Grove Boat Launch in Longview and the Port of Kalama Marina.

Each vessel that passes inspection gets a 2014 marine safety decal.

For more information, contact Deputy Jordan Spencer, at 360-577-3092 or spencerj@co.cowlitz.wa.us.
