SEATTLE — Police say a naked man who ran from officers on Seattle’s waterfront and then jumped into Elliott Bay is getting a medical evaluation.

KOMO-TV reports police were chasing the man as he ran toward Colman Dock around 10 a.m. Tuesday. He jumped into the water near the ferry terminal.

Fire boats responded and pulled the man from the water. Seattle police say the man has been taken to a local hospital.

Officials haven’t said how the chase began.
