Battle Ground — The new Wal-Mart Supercenter in Battle Ground has made a $1,000 donation to the town’s 2014 Summer Playground Program via the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

“The funds will help provide a 10 week, free Summer Playground program for youth and families at local neighborhood parks,” said Debbi Hanson, director of parks and recreation. “This generous donation helps bring the magic of play directly to our community.”

The Parks Foundation is an independent nonprofit agency that funnels tax-deductible donations to local park developments and recreation programs.
