JEFFERSON, Ore. — Five armed men in ski masks and bulletproof vests tied up two men at a medical marijuana garden in Linn County and took what a victim described as “quite a few” pounds of pot being grown for numerous patients.

The sheriff’s department tells the Albany Democrat-Herald it was the third drug-related robbery of the year in Linn County. One of the others targeted marijuana, and the third heroin and methamphetamine.

In Wednesday’s holdup near Jefferson, the robbers tied two victims with zip-ties. The two later cut themselves loose.

They told the sheriff’s deputies the robbers spoke only Spanish.
