Clark women’s soccer team clinches NWAC playoff berth

The Clark College women’s soccer team wrapped up a spot in the NWAC postseason tournament with a 5-1 win over Chemeketa on Saturday in Vancouver.

Evergreen High grad Nicole McEllrath scored two goals, and Skyview High grad Brenna Bogle had a goal and two assists for the Penguins.

The Penguins also had goals from Sarah Gant and Karina Jimenez as they finished third in the South division with a 6-5-6 record and 7-7-6 overall.

Clark will face the No. 2 team from the West division on Wednesday, likely Highline of Des Moines.

• The Clark men’s soccer team has a first-round bye in the NWAC tournament as champions of the South division. Their first postseason match will be in Vancouver on Saturday, Nov. 8.
