Thank goodness election time has passed because the overwhelming abundance of candidate signs is a visual blight on the community. The signs are distracting and degrade the visual value of our community. My semi-educated guess is that the majority of voters don’t even read the Voters’ Pamphlet and name recognition is a sad and less-than-adequate way to be involved in the voting process.
Neighborhoods are hard-pressed to post garage sale and small-business signs, but the visual blight at election time should be regulated and/or eliminated.
