Letter: Hydropower attracts business

The Columbian
Published: November 8, 2014, 12:00am

I agree with Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, that we can use our natural resources in a responsible way. Businesses choose to come to Clark County and grow jobs because we have affordable, carbon-free energy, thanks to our region’s hydropower system. Windmills and solar panels may complement hydropower developing a “smart grid” that will build a sustainable energy plan for the region.
