Clark soccer season ends with 2-1 defeat

The Clark College men’s soccer team saw its season end Saturday with a 2-1 loss to visiting Skagit Valley of Mount Vernon in the quarterfinals of the NWAC tournament at McKenzie Stadium.

Clark, the South division champion, didn’t score until the 82nd minute when Abran Serrano-Garcia found the back of the net off an assist from Jacob Young.

Alex Bell scored both Skagit Valley goals. The first in the 54th minute, the second in the 72nd minute.

Skagit Valley (11-5-2), is the No. 2 team from the North division, and moves on to play No. 2-ranked Highline in the semifinals.

The Penguins finish the season 15-3-3.
