The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body found near Burnt Bridge Creek Trail on Saturday morning as that of a Portland man.

Vancouver police found the body of Eugene E. Morin, 46, at about 10:30 a.m. on the trail near Northeast Andresen Road.

Sgt. Rod Trumpf said it “does not appear that (he was) the victim of a crime.”

The cause and manner of death are still pending the medical examiner’s investigation.

Morin’s body was found around the same time as that of a woman whose body was recovered from the Columbia River in west Vancouver.

Police say the two incidents are not related.

The woman’s age and circumstances of her death are not known, Trumpf said. The medical examiner’s office did not release any information about the woman.
