Clark County is offering a series of three free classes through its Green Business Program that will teach businesses ways to save money and reduce waste.

Participants will be guided through Web-based assessments of their operations and provided with tips for reducing energy use, increasing recycling, and managing polluted storm runoff. They also will receive marketing tools and networking opportunities.

Classes are scheduled for Nov. 20, Dec. 4, and Jan. 15, all from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., sixth floor hearing room. Space is limited. Registration for the two-hour classes is available at www.clarkgreenbiz.com.

The classes are the first step toward being recognized as a Clark County Green Business at a showcase in March.

Program partners are Waste Connections, Clark Public Utilities and the city of Vancouver.
