Suspect arrested in Portland hit-and-run

PORTLAND — A driver suspected of hitting a pedestrian early Sunday in Portland and leaving the scene was later arrested at an apartment complex where a car with front end damage was found.

The 27-year-old woman was arrested on charges that include assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

KATU reports a 21-year-old man who was left in the street with serious injuries was taken to a Portland hospital and is expected to survive.
