Letter: Mistake to fall under solar claims

Many believe solar power is the answer, a misconception sustained by unethical Democrats purposely duping the hopeful.

The 1950s TV show “You Asked For It” optimistically showed a little model car with a solar panel traveling across a table. Yet today less than three-tenths of 1 percent of our energy comes from solar power. The federal Energy Department awarded soon-to-be-bankrupt solar companies millions of your money. Now retired hedge fund billionaire Tom Steyer is enticing Democrats with plans for $100 million in support of “green” policies, further enriching his funds. Wake up.

Consider the “Missoula Floods” caused by repeated advancing, then melting, of Northwest glaciers 10,000 years ago carving out the Columbia River Gorge; Minnesota’s “Land of 10,000 Lakes” and the Great Lakes created by receding glaciers; Douglas fir forests exposed by retreating glaciers along Alberta’s “Ice Fields Highway” — all proving huge swings of planet temperatures occur without mankind.

Crooked Democrats dupe us with hype, then deceitfully discredit Republicans who intelligently ask if we can do anything meaningful other than enrich con men preying upon the ignorant and the gullible. Science has confirmed we can’t.
