Camas/Washougal — After a successful 2013-14 fundraising drive, the Camas-Washougal Community Chest nonprofit is hoping to meet its goal again in 2015. The 2014-15 campaign kicked off this month with a goal of bringing in $75,000 for local organizations. During the recently completed fundraising cycle, the nonprofit raised almost $83,000. With that money, the Community Chest was able to give 17 grants to 14 organizations, including the Inter-Faith Treasure House, Meals on Wheels People and Friends of the Camas Community Center. Local nonprofits can apply for Community Chest grants starting Oct. 15 with applications due Dec. 15. Learn more at www.camaswashougalcommunitychest.org.
