WENATCHEE — Police say a blind man fell out of his sixth-floor apartment window Wednesday night in Wenatchee.

Sgt. John Kruse tells KPQ the fall could have killed the 60-year-old man except he landed on a third-floor air conditioner.

He was conscious when he was rescued by a fire department crew and taken to Central Washington Hospital with a broken leg and back injury.
