Water main in northwest Portland bursts

PORTLAND — A water main broke in northwest Portland about 1:30 a.m. Monday, flooding Northwest 23rd Place between Burnside and Everett.

The Portland Water Bureau says several businesses in the vicinity will be without water Monday as well as a high-rise in the neighborhood.

The utility told KOIN the broken pipe is least 50 years old.
