Snohomish County: Injured hiker dies

EVERETT — A Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman says a 56-year-old male hiker hurt in a fall near Spada Lake in the eastern part of the county has died from his injuries.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton said the man’s body was retrieved by the county search and rescue helicopter rescue team.

Sheriff’s Lt. A.J. Bryant says the man suffered a head injury Sunday.

The county medical examiner has not yet released the man’s name.
