3rd West Nile virus case from Eastern Washington

EPHRATA — The Grant County Health Department says a Pierce County woman with West Nile virus was likely exposed while visiting Grant County.

The Tri-City Herald reports four other people in Washington have been confirmed this year with the virus. Two are believed to have been exposed in Walla Walla and Benton counties. Two others where likely exposed while traveling out of state.

West Nile virus is spread by mosquito bites.
