Letter: ‘Sky is falling’ is ploy for more taxes

The Columbian
Published: September 10, 2014, 5:00pm

There was a mistake in the political cartoon in the paper on Sept. 4. It depicted a Republican elephant with a reference to global warming and a group of what I guess are a bunch of scientists disapproving or whatever they were doing. Instead of scientists it should be a bunch of politicians because they are the ones driving this global warming scam.

Politicians just want another source of revenue and if they can convince enough people that the Earth is in peril they can tax the heck out of us. Pure and simple.
