A 13-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped by her uncle was found safe Thursday afternoon in a Woodland hotel.

Woodland police officers, acting on information from the Hillsboro (Ore.) Police Department, found Ivette Gutierrez in good health and arrested the uncle, Jose Roberto Gomez, 44.

Ivette’s family had reported her to the Hillsboro police as missing Monday.

Gomez was booked in the Cowlitz County Jail on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping in Washington. Charges have not been filed in Oregon in the case, which is being referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office in Oregon for possible prosecution.
