Greater Portland Inc., a nonprofit regional job recruitment partnership, has launched a public survey through Oct. 19 of attitudes “about the status and direction of the region’s economy,” the organization said in a news release Tuesday.
The survey will launch a plan called Greater Portland 2020 that is aimed at creating a more unified regional economic development strategy. the organization says. A 40-member steering committee will lead the project.
The committee will include members of Greater Portland’s board, which has five representatives from Clark County: Tim Leavitt, Vancouver mayor; Todd Coleman, Port of Vancouver executive director; Mike Bomar, president of the Columbia River Economic Development Council; Greg Goodwin, CEO of Vancouver-based Kuni Automotive Group; and Betsy Henning, CEO of the Vancouver-based strategic marketing firm AHA!
