Letter: Adjust schedule to fit typical worker

Ridership is an issue for C-Tran and no wonder. Doesn’t anyone who works in scheduling realize that the buses that service downtown are 10 to 15 minutes off from a working person’s schedule?

For example, if you work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. catching the No. 2 from the Lincoln area to downtown gets you there at about five minutes before 8 a.m. This leaves no time to actually walk to work and check in on time. The afternoon bus leaves downtown at 4:47 p.m., after which you have to wait an hour to catch the next bus home.

If a slight adjustment were made to accommodate the riders and average work hours, I think they’d be surprised how many folks actually want to ride but can’t.
