A fight broke out Thursday afternoon between two inmates who were in Clark County Superior Court for trial readiness hearings.

As a group of inmates filed into the holding area of the ground floor arraignment courtroom, Scott William Thomas, 25, began to attack Jason Evan Stinson, 31.

The two Vancouver men are in custody for unrelated cases but have a co-defendant in common.

Several Clark County sheriff’s deputies rushed to break up the fight and threatened to shock the men with a Taser. They were able to pull Thomas off of Stinson and hauled him out of the courtroom.

It didn’t appear there were any serious injuries. The incident is under investigation.
