Letter: Few exceptions considered

The Columbian
Published: April 23, 2015, 5:00pm

Regarding the April 15 article, “Oregon has it both ways on income taxes: State collects from Washington residents who work there and Portlanders employed here,” I would say Oregon sometimes has it a third way. When my son wanted to attend an Oregon university full time we were told he would have to pay out-of-state tuition. This is despite the fact that I have had 100 percent of my income taxed by Oregon from before the day he was born. An email to the Oregon university system, an Oregon representative, an Oregon senator, and the governor at the time was met with silence.
