Vancouver — DiscoverOrg, the Vancouver-based sales and marketing intelligence firm, said Tuesday that it has acquired iProfile, an Austin, Texas-based sales intelligence provider for the technology industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands DiscoverOrg’s international presence through iProfile’s professional contact and sales intelligence database in global markets including Asia Pacific and Latin America. DiscoverOrg had already expanded into European markets, and it said its acquisition of iProfile makes it the first global provider of sales intelligence.
DiscoverOrg, based in downtown Vancouver, is expanding with help from a cash infusion from TA Associates, a global growth private equity firm. It has announced plans to hire 150 additional employees to help build out additional data sets.
IProfile was founded in 1993. Its client roster includes many leading technology companies including Adobe, Dell, and IBM. DiscoverOrg says it will maintain a presence in Austin, a top technology hub.
