Free services for stray and feral cats

Published: August 3, 2015, 5:00pm

North Portland — This month, the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon will spay or neuter stray and feral cats at no cost. Kittens weighing more then 2 pounds also qualify for the free service. The services are open to cats living in the Portland metro area, including Southwest Washington.

Spaying and neutering prevents litters of homeless kittens, reducing unwanted mating behaviors like spraying and fighting, and improves feline health, the coalition said.

To schedule an appointment call 503-797-2606 or fill out an application at www.feralcats.com.
