Tech, manufacturing training info sessions set

Individuals who have been unemployed for more than 27 weeks may qualify for a new training program for jobs in technology or manufacturing.

Information sessions are held every Thursday, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at the WorkSource office, 5411 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Ste. 15, in Vancouver.

To be considered, an individual must be unemployed for at least 27 consecutive weeks or underemployed, meaning they lost a job and have not been able to obtain a new one with similar pay; at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED; a resident of Clark, Cowlitz or Wahkiakum counties; and interested in information technology, software, manufacturing or engineering positions.
