Letter: Murray failed during her watch

Published: August 20, 2015, 5:00pm

Now that Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., acknowledges that she will run for a fifth term, she comes out of hibernation to address veterans’ problems at the Clark County Veterans Stand-Down event. Where was Murray when it was reported that veterans were dying because of delays of diagnosis and treatment at VA hospitals?

During an election season she’s an advocate for better VA hospitals and she chairs the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, however, the VA hospitals were not properly treating our veterans during her watch. We need a senator who truly cares about medical treatment for our veterans.
