Clark County — Northwest Battle Buddies and the Ray Hickey Hospice House were selected as next year’s recipients of donations by the Vancouver-based Northwest Corvette Association. Each year, the organization donates proceeds from the organization’s various fundraisers. Northwest Battle Buddies, based in Battle Ground, trains service dogs for returning combat veterans and pairs them up at no cost to the veteran. The Ray Hickey Hospice House, part of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, offers 20 private rooms where families can visit loved ones receiving end-of-life care. This will be the third straight year the association donated to the hospice. The Northwest Corvette Association meets twice monthly. For more information about the club, go to www.nwcorvette.com.
