COMMUNITY COLLEGE PRESIDENT AWARDS

Washington State University Vancouver bestowed its Community College President Awards to five transfer students from local community colleges. Each student will receive full tuition for up to two years. Presidents from five local community colleges each selected a student for the award. The recipients are: Cheyenne DeFrates, Lower Columbia College; Alseny Diallo, Portland Community College; Kathy Fockler, Clark College; Joscha Oswald, Centralia College; and Skye Troy, Mt. Hood Community College.

CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF’S RESERVE UNIT–BOB WINSOR SCHOLARSHIP

Cadet Kelly Tepedino, a Clark College student pursuing a career in law enforcement, was awarded a $500 scholarship by the Clark County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit. Tepedino has been a cadet since 2012.
