PORTLAND — A Washington County jury has found a woman guilty of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy.

The Oregonian reports that 22-year-old Melissa Chacon, of Cornelius, was convicted Friday of sexual abuse and rape charges. Her sentencing has been set for Jan. 25.

Court records say Hillsboro police began investigating Chacon after the victim disclosed the abuse to his mother.

The records also say Chacon allegedly admitted to detectives that she had sex with the boy.

Chacon faces a possible 25-year prison sentence.
