BOTHELL — A Bothell police officer is accused of having sex with a girl she met while serving as a resource officer at Bothell High School.

Dione Thompson was charged last week with sexual misconduct with a minor. Court papers say she had sexual conduct with the 17-year-old in a patrol car at the Bothell library and outside a fast-food restaurant and that the student moved in with her for a time. The relationship ended four years ago.

Thompson’s lawyer, David Allen, told the seattlepi.com that she is innocent and will strongly contest the false allegations.

Thompson is 45 and has been with Bothell police since 1998. Now a detective, she’s responsible for sex offender notifications.
