Girls basketball: Battle Ground 48, Heritage 33

Jossilyn Blackman had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the host Tigers to the 4A Greater St. Helens League win.

Morgan Stradley scored a career-high 11 points off the bench for Battle Ground (8-9, 5-4 GSHL), connecting on three 3-pointers.

After building a 22-9 first-quarter lead, the Tigers scored only two points in the second quarter as the Timberwolves (6-12, 2-8) pulled into a halftime tie. But a 15-4 third quarter restored Battle Ground’s advantage.
