Clark County pet owners can now license their dogs and cats online.

Applications for a new license or to renew an existing license are at https://petlicense.clark.wa.gov.

Dogs and cats older than 8 weeks must be licensed in unincorporated Clark County, the city of Vancouver and the town of Yacolt.

Licenses are free until the pet is 6 months old, and up to $20 annually depending on the species and whether it is spayed or neutered.

Owners are subject to a $100 fine per unlicensed animal.
