THE WINDS AND STRINGS CELTIC BAND OF ST. ANDREW will present two benefit concerts for Winter Hospitality Overflow. Performances will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 5607 N.E. Gher Road, and 3 p.m. Feb. 15 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1309 Franklin St., both in Vancouver. Sophie McDuffey, a Scottish piper, will be featured, along with the music of Irish pipes, flutes and whistles, hammered dulcimers and guitars. An offering will be taken.

THE HUUMANIST STUDY GROUP will feature Richard Carrier, a philosopher and historian specializing in the contemporary philosophy of naturalism, and in Greco-Roman philosophy, science and religion, including the origins of Christianity, at 2 p.m. Feb. 26 at Unitarian Universalist Church of Vancouver, 4505 E. 18th St., Vancouver. 360-695-1891, www.uucvan.org
