A 31-year-old man was hospitalized after he reportedly shot himself in the little finger, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, 2211 N.E. 139th St., at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday to investigate.
They learned that the gunshot wound was accidentally self-inflicted and occurred when the man was unloading his 45-caliber handgun in the bedroom of his home. His hand slipped and the gun fired, shooting his pinky, Sgt. Fred Neiman said.
The man, whose name was not released, was treated at the hospital.
