The woman whose body was found Thursday afternoon on the bank of the Lewis River in Woodland was identified as a 56-year-old Amboy woman reported missing last week.

Lisa Ann McNair was reported missing by her family, who had last seen her walking west on Cedar Creek Road toward Woodland on Feb. 11, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

McNair had suffered multiple strokes and normally walked with the aid of a cane, the sheriff’s office reported.

Someone called 911 at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday to report that there was a body on the riverbank, about 200 yards upstream from the East CC Street Bridge.

The cause and manner of McNair’s death are still pending investigation by the Cowlitz County Coroner’s Office, but Clark County Sgt. Fred Neiman said the death is not being investigated as involving any foul play.
