As Clark County officials flesh out long-range plans for growth, they hope to get a sense of what the public wants in its parks.

Updating the county’s plan for parks is a requirement under the state’s Growth Management Act. Eventually, the plan will go before the Board of County Councilors for final approval.

But for now, county parks officials are looking to develop a vision from the public before purchasing land for parks, trails and other developments. The county has set up several options to provide feedback this spring.

A brief survey on the issue is available at the county’s website. The page also features a video and a link to additional information about the matter.

Three open houses with members of the Parks Advisory Board have also been set for next month. Here’s the schedule:

• 5 p.m. March 3: La Center Community Center, 1000 E. Fourth St.

• 5 p.m. March 4: Camas-Washougal Fire Station 42, 4321 N.W. Parker St.

• 5 p.m. March 5: Three Creeks Community Library, 800-C N.E. Tenney Road.
