A 3-year-old Camas girl was hospitalized Saturday after falling from a second story window, according to the Camas Police Department.

The incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Northwest 30th Avenue when the girl leaned against the screen of an opened window and the screen popped out, according to Sgt. Scot Boyles.

The girl was conscious and alert after the fall, Boyles said. She was transported to Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

Boyles said there was no indication of any crime associated with the accident.

“Our thoughts are with the 3-year-old victim, and our hopes are for a speedy recovery,” Boyles said.
