A motorcyclist died in a traffic collision Saturday morning northwest of Battle Ground, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred about 11:42 a.m. on Northeast 72nd Avenue at the intersection with 249th Way, said Sgt. K.C. Kasberg.

Kasberg said the motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from the Battle Ground area, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on 72nd when a motorist driving a Honda SUV north on 72nd turned into his path.

Kasberg said the motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the Honda, a woman from the Vancouver area, was not injured. Their names were not released Saturday.
