More than 5,500 people are expected to rally in nine communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington this spring for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s annual Walk MS fundraising event.

Participants help raise money for research that benefits the 8,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the region.

The local Walk MS event begins at 10 a.m. May 3 at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver. The 5K walking route has entertainment and refreshments along the way.

There is no fundraising minimum or a fee to register, but the MS Society Oregon Chapter encourages a $35 minimum donation.

To register, start a team, volunteer, make a donation or learn more, visit www.walkMS.org.
