The driver who died Wednesday after her car car plunged into the Columbia River has been identified as a Portland resident.
The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Melissa Parke, 46.
She was driving on Northeast Marine Drive in Portland at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when her vehicle left the roadway and plunged into the river near the east end of the Portland International Airport, according to authorities.
