Ridgefield — With a simple but sweet drawing and the message of “Happy Holidays,” Union Ridge Elementary School student Olivia Fenton won the district’s Holiday Greeting Card Design Competition. Fenton and several semi-finalists in the Ridgefield Arts Association-sponsored contest were recognized at a Dec. 16 district board meeting. Students submitted designs for a greeting card that was later sent to families in the district. Fenton received $50 for her first-place entry. Semi-finalists, who each received $25, were View Ridge Middle School student Madison Syring and Union Ridge student Danica Allen.
