SEATTLE — Former U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan has a new job in Seattle.

She’s helping to open an office of the global business law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan LLP.

The 56-year-old is joining the firm as a partner and will serve as chair of its cyber law and privacy group.

That’s an issue Durkin made a priority in her stint as western Washington’s top federal prosecutor from 2009 until last September.

Durkan says cyber threats endanger national security, individual privacy and commerce.
