Despite a search of the area, police could not find a woman who robbed a convenience store at Fourth Plain and Grand Boulevard early Friday morning.

A woman, about 4 feet tall and 90 pounds, entered the 24-hour Food Mart, 2721 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., just before 5 a.m., according to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The woman walked around the store and picked up an item before approaching the counter, where she showed a handgun and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash, Kapp said.

Police responded and searched the area with a police canine, but did not locate the suspect.

The woman was described as wearing jeans, a black hoody and a black scarf wrapped around her face covering everything but her eyes.
