Boys basketball: Heritage 51, Battle Ground 47

Mark Bejan scored 23 points including eight in the fourth quarter and made two free throws with five seconds to play to seal Heritage’s 4A GSHL victory over visiting Battle Ground.

Heritage was down eight points at the half and responded with a 9-0 run to start the third quarter. The Timberwolves got ahead by as much as six points, only to see Battle Ground come back to make it close in the final minute.

Battle Ground’s Devin Johnson led all scorers with 25 points.
