A Vancouver man has been arrested in connection with a series of locker thefts at an Oregon fitness center.

Daniel Leroy Turner, 51, is accused of stealing credit cards from lockers at the LA Fitness location in Wilsonville, Ore., and then using the cards at a nearby Fred Meyer store, according to a news release from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies assigned to the Wilsonville Police Department had been investigating the thefts for several weeks, and had obtained photos of the suspect at the Fred Meyer store, but didn’t know his name. They solved the case Friday morning when Turner allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase an LA Fitness membership.

After Turner’s identity was uncovered, he was found to have arrest warrants from Multnomah County for identity theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
