PORTLAND — Portland police say a woman suspected of dealing drugs jumped over a sea wall into the Willamette River to escape arrest.

It didn’t work.

Portland Fire & Rescue boats arrived within 10 minutes and rescued the woman from the water early Saturday morning.

She was booked at the Multnomah County jail on charges of criminal trespass, interfering with a police officer and three unrelated arrest warrants.
