Kate Kraft responded with another stellar defensive effort, limiting Kelso’s top scorer to three points as the Chieftains secured sole possession of second play in the 3A GSHL.

“This is the third time this year we’ve asked Kate to stop the other team’s top scorer, and she’s done it,” River coach Carl Click said. “Kady Bruce had 27 in her last game against Prairie.”

Marion Lilly had nine of her 11 points in the first half as River built a 26-15 lead. Amara Moore came off the bench to score eight.
